It’s been a week in Battambang.

It’s been a week in Battambang and were still staying in the hotel.

The shiny new water tank arrived this afternoon and seven of us pulled it up the side of the building and then lowered the old one back down.
Two cleaners started scrubbing the kitchen walls. The grease and grime of 20 years disappearing in front of our eyes as they scrubbed.

We have these concrete stairs that lead to to roof. Im planning a simple design on them. Any ideas? I had a friend write with chalk Khmer numbers on each step. Ill leave it for a while to see if we like it or not.

We bought simple fruits, roasted chicken and grilled pork from the market. Went back to the hotel for a quick dip in the pool, but they have decided to retile it this week,… dam! So we sat on the balcony and had a simple dinner. One of the best for this week in Battambang.

  2. Leave the stairs as they are …………..at least until you’ve lived in the place for a while. It’ll come to you in an instant at some stage.
